Cost-Share Assistance and Incentives
for CP38 Safe Continuous CRP Sign-Up

Grass Planting/Wildlife Food Plots

North Dakota Game and Fish Department:

• Cost-sharing - NDGFD will provide up to 50% cost-sharing on grass seed (also includes big sagebrush) and required management practices (light disking, burning, interseeding, clipping and removal) if landowner allows public access to the CRP
• Wildlife food plots - NDGFD will provide establishment payments for annual or perennial wildlife food plots on acreage enrolled into SAFE (public access required)
• Private Land Open To Sportsmen (PLOTS) payment - NDGFD will provide a one-time, upfront incentive payment of $1-$4/acre/CRP contract year (depending upon location within the state) if landowner allows public access to the CRP Bonus signup payment - NDGFD will provide a one-time, upfront, bonus signup payment of $10/acre for acres enrolled into SAFE (public access required)

Wetland Restoration

Ducks Unlimited Cost-Share:
DU will pay 25% of the actual wetland restoration costs (includes hydrology restoration and sediment removal as deemed necessary by USDA)

ND Natural Resources Trust One-Time Incentive Payments:
NDNRT will provide incentive payments on all wetland restorations $30 per restored wetland acre or $150 per restored basin (whichever is highest)

NDNRT will make the incentive payments directly to landowners/producers when confirmed by FSA/NRCS field offices that the wetland restorations are completed. Wetland restoration consists of the physical restoration of wetland hydrology (includes dams, plugs, silt removal, and removing pumps)
